What happens when your HCM Implementation project is over? (It’s not really over.)

Days have blended into weeks and then into months. Countless meetings, deadlines, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Change Management, and at long last, you are live in Production. You finally have the time to take a breath and look back over the long road to get here. As you turn around, you see that the road has not ended, and it’s time to tackle the next challenge.

Today, we will examine some of the issues that arise after the initial HCM implementation project is completed.   And the good news is, we will also explore how the expert consultants at HRchitect can assist you.

Regulation/Legislation Changes

Laws and regulations are constantly evolving. Sometimes you have notice of when this change will happen, and other times it springs up out of nowhere, with little time to implement. Likely, the HCM consultants at HRchitect are already addressing this change with different clients, and a solution may already be in place.

A recent example is the 2025 overtime rules, specifically those related to the salary threshold for exempt employees. Although this change is currently blocked from taking effect on January 1, 2025, the solution remains in place and is ready for deployment.

Corporate Policy Changes

Continuing our partnership beyond implementation means that we are familiar with your initial configuration and know how to make these adjustments efficiently. If this is a new relationship, we can still provide quick assistance. Our expertise in understanding HCM requirements ensures that even the most complex changes are something that we can tackle (and probably have seen before).

For example, one of our clients in Saudi Arabia recently had several changes to their Contractor work group. These included the Overtime/Regular hourly calculations, the Manager approval workflow, and creating a new Contractor Holiday calendar. We successfully assisted this client in completing all configurations within their expected timeline.

General Enhancements

Perhaps modules such as Scheduling, Absence Compliance, or Fatigue Management were not included in the original scope of work for the project. Post-Go-Live presents the perfect opportunity to revisit these topics. HRchitect has a Strategic Services division that can assist with a People, Process & Operations Assessment including a cost-to-benefit analysis of additional modules to see if they are the right fit for your needs. Our team of consultants has various specialties in these topics, ensuring that they are integrated seamlessly into your current configuration.

For example, when considering the implementation of scheduling, we’ve assisted several clients in adding these products to their existing environments. The work involves implementing a Forecasting and Scheduling solution for a retail division within a client’s business architecture, navigating not only the forecasting requirements but also ensuring that cut-over activities minimize the impact on end users.

Let’s Take the Next Step

While your initial implementation project may have ended, that is by no means the end of the road for your Workforce Management platform.  As Heraclitus said, “the only constant in life is change,” and that proves true here as well. HRchitect has the experience and expertise to tackle any changes or enhancements you might need. I have shared with you only a few examples of how, at HRchitect, we are ready to work with you to solve your configuration updates and issues. These highlight the many reasons we have over 400 Raven Intelligence Reviews and why we are a multi-award-winning HCM software consulting firm.
