A rejection letter is the formal notification of rejection sent to candidates who were not selected at the end of the recruitment process.
In addition to informing the applicant of the decision, a rejection letter can also be used to return their application materials. If the applicant is generally deemed suitable despite not being selected in the final stage, the letter may express interest in keeping the candidate in mind for future opportunities. With the applicant’s consent, their documents may be archived for potential future consideration.
