The tech, media, and telecommunications (TMT) industry is on the brink of an AI revolution. As we discussed in our recent blog, “4 Deloitte Predictions for TMT & What They Mean for HR,” the rise of AI is creating both new opportunities and major workforce challenges.

Deloitte forecasts that while much of the focus remains on infrastructure, monetization, and ethical concerns, one of the biggest hurdles is the widening AI skills gap. Companies are rapidly integrating AI-powered tools, yet the workforce isn’t keeping pace. Ironically, at the same time, AI-generated resumes are making traditional hiring methods, particularly reliance on resumes, increasingly ineffective.

The reality is clear: AI is both the cause and solution to these hiring challenges.
