In human resource management, requirement criteria refer to the standards or expectations that personnel tools (e.g., performance evaluations, compensation systems) should meet, based on the objectives and the situation defined by decision-makers. These requirements are theoretically oriented, plausible, and/or randomly selected from a variety of potentially relevant factors. Ultimately, they are defined as requirement criteria to systematically facilitate both the selection and design of instruments, as well as their subsequent evaluation.
